My Great Granddad in WWll

My Great Granddad, my Poppas father in WWII.

My Great Granddad served in the WWII as an ambulance driver. He took care of all the soldiers that were wounded and drove through heavy fire on the battle field.

He was a reliable man and was awarded a bravery medal. Below are photos of his medals and 2 description of what the medals are for, and a photo of him driving a tank in Libya, North Africa.

Do you have any family members that were in the war and what did they do?

  1. Oh wow Hunter, this is such a fantastic post. I love how you have explained what your great-granddad did and have added photos.

You and your family must be so proud of him and all he did to help those in need. It wouldn't have been an easy job to do.

In answer to your question, my great-uncle drove in trains in Egypt dodging bombs, two of my great-grandads were rifle-men in world war 1 and my other great-grandad was a firefighter in the blitz.
